Kvitåvatn Fjellstogeis a very comfortable mountain lodge providing an informal and relaxed atmosphere in stunning surroundings. At 950 metres the lodge lies just within the tree line on a beautiful plateau with fantastic views across Kvitåvatn lake to Gausta (1883m), the highest mountain in southern Norway. Kvitåvatn Fjellstoge is located 180 km west of Oslo, just above the town of Rjukan, made famous in WWII as the centre of Norwegian sabotage activity.

A variety of accommodation is available from high quality hostel style bunk rooms to stylish ensuite bedrooms. In addition, a very attractive collection of traditional Norwegian timber cabins, the Gamle Hyttetun (the Old Cabin Hamlet), provide varied accommodation in a very special environment, The Nyt Hyttetun (New Cabin Hamlet) is contemporary cabin collection bringing together Danish style with Norwegian tradition providing light and airy rooms with modern ensuite bathrooms.
